Police have charged two men following a home invasion in Craigieburn early this morning.
Police were initially called to a Second Avenue home following reports two males broke into the property about 1.40am.
It is alleged they threatened the 19-year-old female occupant with a knife before stealing her Mercedes station wagon.
The victim was not physically injured.
Officers responded and observed the car travelling on Hothlyn Drive.
Police, with the assistance from the Air Wing, tracked the vehicle through Mill Park, Epping and South Morang.
Police deployed tyre-deflation tactics in Doreen with the vehicle coming to a stop on Cooks Road.
The two occupants fled on foot but were arrested nearby.
A 17-year-old Craigieburn man has been charged with home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.
He has been remanded to a children’s court at a later date.
