‘Targeted attack’ in Thomastown

Police are investigating a suspected “targeted attack” in Thomastown on Saturday which resulted in two men sustaining injuries.

Police believe the incident occurred at Whittlesea Public Gardens just after 5pm on Saturday, February 4.

A 20-year-old Thomastown man self-presented at hospital with what is believed to be a gunshot wound and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It is understood a 19-year-old Thomastown man was assaulted and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
