Suburbs across Whittlesea are experiencing unexplained power outages today.
According to AusNet’s outage tracker site, there have been reports from across the Whittlesea municipality, including in South Morang (33 reports), Bundoora (28 reports), Epping (17 reports), and Yarrambat (1 report).
The site lists the estimated time of restoration of power for Epping as 8pm, while South Morang, Bundoora and Yarrambat residents will be waiting until 11.59pm, the site estimates.
The power company is citing “unexpected interruption to power supply” as the reason for all area’s outages.
AusNet have been contacted for comment.
Whittlesea SES has been approached for comment on whether remnants of last week’s wild weather have impacted the situation.
