Eligible Hume and Whittlesea sport associations and regional academies of sport are encouraged to apply for the state government’s Together More Active program.
The program supports initiatives which build organisational capability and sustainability to ensure that sports can continue to make a positive difference in their community.
The grants also support projects which create greater participation and safer, more welcoming and inclusive environments for all Victorians, including Indigenous communities, women and girls and the LGBTIQ+ community.
Community Sport Minister Ros Spence said there are significant mental and physical rewards of keeping active.
“Three out of five Victorian adults regularly take part in sport or active recreation,” she said.
“We’re backing the organisations that make this activity possible by opening doors to more careers, partnerships and participation.”
Applications close on Wednesday, May 31.
