Children being treated at The Northern Hospital had a special visitor last week.

Santa took time out from his Christmas preparations to stop by the hospital last Wednesday to meet some of its smallest patients on the children’s ward.

The children were each given a sack of goodies and had their photograph taken with Santa.

They were also given a chance to share their Christmas wish lists with him.

The visit was organised by Pacific Epping. Centre manager Simon Brown said Pacific Epping wanted to bring extra Christmas cheer to the local community.

“Every child dreams of a visit from Santa at Christmas and we’re delighted to be working with Northern Health to make this dream a reality for a number of children and their families who have experienced a challenging year,” he said.

Northern Health’s chief allied health officer Jenni Smith said the visit had brought a smile to the faces of the hospital’s youngest patients during a difficult time for them and their families.
