The search is on for a soccer club to start warming up the benches at Doreen’s new recreation reserve.

The Painted Hill Recreation Reserve is set to open later this year and includes two soccer pitches, sports lights, a community pavilion with four changerooms, a social space and car parking.

The $7.3 million reserve was funded by Whittlesea council, the state government’s Growing Suburbs Fund and Football Federation Australia and the Asian Cup 2015 Legacy Fund.

Interested clubs will have the chance to tour the reserve, which is on the corner of Eminence and Painted Hills roads, on Wednesday, July 10, from 6-8pm, or Saturday, July 20, from 10am-noon.
