Skate competition ramps up the fun

A national skate competition is coming to Epping later this month.

The National Skate Park Series competition will be held at Epping Skate Park at Meadowglen Reserve on February 22, with categories for skateboards as well as scooter and BMX riders.

The competition has been organised by Whittlesea council, in partnership with the YMCA and is funded by FReeZA.

The competition is open to all ages and participants can choose to participate in any of the elements – skate, scooter or BMX – in their age group.

A panel of judges will award prizes in each section, with winner going on to the national final.

There will also be a jumping castle and food available for purchase.
