Site secured for new mixed-use hub in Mickleham

Melbourne-based developer Oreana Property has acquired a new site in Mickleham and another two in Tarneit and Werribee contributing to the commercial development of the growing outer suburbs.

The trio of development sites have plans to house important new retail and essential amenities for local communities.

The projects are expected to create more than 500 jobs for the local economy in construction and on completion.

A land parcel at the corner of Brossard Road and Elscott Boulevard within the broader Botanical Estate in Mickleham has been secured by the developer.

It plans to build a new 10,000 square metre mixed-use precinct at the site, including a full-line supermarket, childcare, specialty retail and dining options.

Oreana Group co-founder and co managing director Tony Sass said the plan for these recently purchased sites was to deliver essential services and needs for the growing local population in these areas.

“It’s crucial that new and expanding communities have the right foundations in place in order to be able to successfully flourish, and this includes access to quality services and amenities,” Mr Sass said.

In March, Oreana Property also started construction on its Kalkallo Town Centre project in Melbourne’s north.

The hub will feature a Woolworths supermarket, 148-place childcare centre managed by Aspire, petrol station, medical centre, discount pharmacy and food and beverage offerings when completed later this year.
