Sessions on new airport plans begin

An in-person consultation session about the Melbourne Airport draft Master Plan and draft Major Development Plan will be held at Broadmeadows library on Saturday.

The plans which were released late last month, detail the airport’s plans for the next five years, 20 years and long term, with the key plank the construction of a third runway.

The runway will run north-south, with many people set to be impacted by the development and changes to flight path.

The airport is running a number of sessions to help residents better understand the two plans and the impact.

During the library talk, residents will be given an overview of the master plan. It’s on from 11am -1pm.
