Seeing double

Police thought they were seeing double when two identical vehicles sped past them in Campbellfield on Tuesday morning.

It is alleged two identical white 2019 Ford Rangers were both clocked racing at 125km/h in a 70 zone just after midnight on Sydney Road.

One police car managed to intercept both vehicles.

The driver of the first Ford was found to be an unaccompanied learner and the driver of Ford number two was a probationary driver.

Both cars were impounded for a matching cost of $999.

The two men are expected to be charged on summons with various driving offences and may be able to split a rideshare to court.
