Second man charged following Campbellfield death

Police have charged a second man on Thursday following a fatal shooting in Campbellfield last month.

A 20-year-old Yarraville man was charged this morning with murder and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later on Thursday.

The charge follows an incident on December 20 where a 60-year-old Craigieburn man was shot outside a property on Gentles Avenue in Campbellfield.

Two men subsequently came to police attention after being dropped off at a hospital with injuries.

They were then placed under police guard.

A 22-year-old Westmeadows man was charged with murder on January 4 and is currently remanded in custody.
