Roxburgh Park man charged following Melbourne CBD death

A 22-year-old Roxburgh Park man is one of two men charged over the death of a Kings Park man in the Melbourne CBD in March.

The Roxburgh Park man and a 23-year-old man from St Albans were arrested on June 14 and have been charged with manslaughter.

The pair faced Melbourne Magistrates court on June 14, and were remanded to reappear on October 4.

The charges follow an incident where emergency services were called to a report of an unresponsive man in a Flinders Street apartment shortly after 10.30am on Saturday, March 11.

The 22-year-old Kings Park man was treated at the scene but passed away following an assault.

He had been located in the property by a cleaner after it had been used as a short-term rental.

The investigation remains ongoing.
