Rocky needs a home

Rocky, an eight year old staffy, has been at the Lort Smith Campbellfield adoption centre for more than three months and desperately needs a new home.

Rocky, who has a heart as big as his paws, has seen many animals at the adoption centre go to happy homes and is hoping he will be next.

Lort Smith spokesperson Suzana Talevski said it was extremely heart-breaking to see him over looked.

“All the staff here adore Rocky, he is just a beautiful doggo and we can’t understand why he hasn’t found a home yet. We are hoping the community will rally around Rocky and find him the best home ever.’’

Though his boxing days are behind him, Rocky still enjoys a good walk and a play with any toy in front of him.

‘’With a little patience and guidance, he’ll be ready to take on the world with his new family. His calm, easygoing nature means he’s perfect for a quieter home where he can receive the love and attention he deserves,’’ said Ms Talevski.

‘’Rocky is the best of both worlds — he only needs a short walk each day, being an older man, and has the playfulness of a puppy with his toys. He loves to roll on his back and juggle a tennis ball with his paws. Rocky is always eager to please and will greet you with a gift and a wagging tail when he sees you.’’
