Rhyolite Drive Reserve name set in stone

A reserve in Rhyolite Drive, Craigieburn, officially has a new name.

Following community consultation, Hume council endorsed a proposal to name the reserve located at 18 Rhyolite Drive, the Rhyolite Drive Reserve.

Consultation was undertaken, with majority of the community input in support of the new proposed name.

The reserve was previously named Aitken Hill Recreation Reserve as a placeholder, but a change was prompted due to concerns that there would be confusion amongst residents with Mt Aitken Reserve being very close by.

Councillor Jarrod Bell said it was a “common sense outcome” for the name to be changed.
