A multi-million dollar revamp is on the cards for the Whittlesea Public Gardens.

Whittlesea council is planning to redevelop the Barry Road gardens in Lalor in stages to bring the park up to major community and regional park standard.

The council has developed detailed concept plans and drawing and now is now seeking community feedback to help shape the final design of the park.

Ideas proposed by the council include a learn-to-ride bicycle track, water and adventure play, public toilets, barbecues and open spaces for events.

The project is jointly funded by the council and the state government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.

Residents can have their say on the plans until Monday, April 13, via whittlesea.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay.
