War medals, a decorative dagger, coins and ladies’ and men’s dress rings were handed into the Craigieburn police station.
Police are still trying to find out who owns the items, which were handed in by a man who had been offered them for $100.
The man, who handed the items in, told police that he was approached by a man who attempted to sell them to him for $100.
The man took hold of the items and told the seller that he intended to hand them into police.
Investigators have released images of the property in the hope that someone may recognise some of the items.
