Public appeal after pedestrian struck by car in Lalor

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries during a collision in Lalor this morning.

A 72-year-old Lalor man was crossing High Street at the intersection of Paschke Street, when he was allegedly struck by a black Subaru Forester about 6.30am.

The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

The driver of the vehicle, a 45-year-old Lalor woman, stopped and assisted police at the scene.

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are continuing to investigate the collision.
