The Combined Probus Club of Whittlesea’s longest-serving committee member has been elevated to life member of the club.
Mary Wood was made a life member during the club’s August meeting.
The club said Mary has held every position on the committee, describing her as its “Queen Bee”.
“The newsletter is her current responsibility, but extended club vacations take up a lot of her time searching and organising tours”, the club said.
To celebrate the recent 21st year at the club, Mary baked a cake.
“Her prowess as a baker goes hand in hand with her mentoring skills and an ever readiness to impart knowledge to anyone who asks.”
