Police release CCTV following suspicious fires in Dallas

Police have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist their investigation into three suspicious fires in Dallas on January 14.

Emergency services were called to the fires at Laura Douglas Reserve about 7.15pm.

Police allege a man piled timber and branches against a tree, before lighting the stack on fire.

Others nearby noticed the fire and quickly worked to extinguish the flames.

Police believe the man may have visited a hotel in Coolaroo prior to the fires being set and may have returned afterwards.

The man is described as being approximately 50-years-old and thinly built with a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, grey pants and smoking.
