Police investigating following a non-fatal shooting on Monday night in Meadow Heights.
Paramedics attended a Meadow Heights property about 6.40pm following reports a 20-year-old Meadow Heights man had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was then conveyed to hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe the matter is linked to an earlier report of a firearm being discharged during an altercation between two groups on Cobb Close, Broadmeadows just after 6.30pm.
At this time the shooting is being treated as targeted, however the exact circumstances are still being determined.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
