Police investigating fatal Melbourne Airport collision

Police are investigating a fatal collision at Melbourne Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Terminal Drive and Centre Road following reports a car and truck had collided about 2.40pm.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old Tarneit man, died at the scene.

The female passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The truck driver, a 25-year-old Doreen man, was interviewed and released without charge.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined, with investigations ongoing.
