Police investigate shooting in Meadow Heights

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary and shooting in Meadow Heights on July 29.

It is believed three males gained access to a residence on Amarina Court about 9.45pm.

After gaining access to the residence, investigators believe an altercation between the occupants and intruders took place.

A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound and remains in a serious but non-life-threatening condition.

Police also attended an address on View Street, Glenroy about 12.30am following reports of gunshots.

On police arrival three men were located with injuries.

A 22-year-old man, a 45-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A fourth man, a 43-year-old, self-presented to hospital with a gunshot wound and was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It is yet to be determined if the two incidents are linked at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.

Police believe these may be targeted incidents and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
