Police investigate Broadmeadows stabbing

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing in Broadmeadows on Saturday 25 October.

A man was located with a stab wound on the corner of Kitchener and Goulburn streets about 9.35pm.

The 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and no arrests have been made.

Police were called to reports of a brawl nearby and are working to establish if the incident was linked to the stabbing.

Police understand a group of men armed with machetes were fighting on Cuthbert and Joffre Streets about 9.30pm and fled the scenes prior to police arrival.
