Poker machines damaged in Bundoora

Police have released an image of a man after several poker machines in Bundoora were damaged.

Officers have been told the man was in the gaming room of a hotel in Plenty Road and was playing the ‘pokies’ when he damaged several machines on December 30 about 8.15pm.

Police allege the man stood up, grabbed the chair he was sitting on and swung it towards his gaming machine, smashing the screen.

He then grabbed two other chairs and in two separate incidents again swung the chairs at two other machines. Police said on one occasion another patron had to quickly get out of the way.

The man was then seen to leave the hotel with a female acquaintance.

Police have released an image of a man they believe will be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as aged in his 20s, about 190-195 centimetres tall with a dark complexion. He has black medium length curly hair which is shaved to the left and right of his head. He also has a black moustache and chin beard.

He was wearing a grey T-shirt, chino style pants, and white runners.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information about the identity of the man is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or log onto www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
