Plea for information following Plenty Road crash

A teenage boy is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Plenty Road yesterday afternoon.

Police said the 15-year-old from Mill Park was crossing Plenty Road in South Morang on a bicycle about 4.35pm when he was struck by a white Ford Focus.

The driver of the car, a 48-year-old Mernda woman, stopped at the scene and has spoken with police.

The teenager was taken to hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage to come forward.
