Paw-some deals

Whittlesea pet lovers still have time to add a four-legged friend to their family for half the usual cost after the wat djerring Animal Facility extended its half-price dog and puppy adoptions to the end of November.

Since the beginning of the promotion in early September, the Epping based animal facility has homed 42 dogs and 10 puppies, with more dogs going up for adoption each week following vet and behaviour assessments.

The limited-time price reduction gives locals the opportunity to adopt a furry friend after health checks, vaccinations, microchipping and desexing are completed by the animal facility in a bid to ensure a smooth transition for the pets into their new environment.

Whittlesea Mayor Cr Martin Taylor said the discounted adoption rates serve as the perfect opportunity to rehome a dog in need.

“This is a perfect opportunity to give a fresh start to a dog in need, allowing them time to get settled in their new home before the summer holidays,” he said.

“Your new best friend will help make the festive period all the merrier.”

The wat djerring Animal Facility is located at 20 Companion Place in Epping and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday and Thursday between 12 and 6.30pm and on Saturdays between 11am and 3pm.
