P-plater nabbed speeding

An 18-year-old Craigieburn P-plater’s car has been impounded after he was caught speeding in Roxburgh Park.

Highway patrol officers came across the Mitsubishi allegedly travelling at 128 km/hr in a 60km/hr residential area about 11.45am on 27 October.

Police intercepted the vehicle and discovered the P-plater behind the wheel of his mother’s car.

Officers impounded the vehicle, which will cost $999.52 to be released after 30 days time.

The Craigieburn man is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences.
