Grab bags
Whittlesea residents can get ready for the summer school holidays with discounted grab bags from the Baseline for Young People Team. Young people aged between 10 and 18 years can register and visit one of three locations to pick up a grab bag; Edge Services for Young People at Westfield Plenty Valley, South Morang on Tuesday, December 6, 9.30am – 4.30pm; Galada Community Centre, Epping North on Wednesday, December 15, 6pm – 7pm; and Whittlesea Community Activity Centre, Whittlesea township, on Tuesday, December 14, 6pm and 7pm. Application forms can be found online.
Whittlesea Christmas carols
Whittlesea council is holding its 2021 carols as a live event at Terrace Lawn, Civic Centre, and will also livestream the event on Friday, December 10. Gates open 6pm, show from 7.30pm, and ticketing information will be available on council’s website.
Exploring healthier masculinities
Hume council is hosting a free range of activities to support the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The event will be held from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday, December 8.
Nutrition education & skills training
Hume council has partnered with OzHarvest to bring their Nest program to Hume, where you can learn cooking skills in a friendly, fun and supportive way. The session is free and will run from 10am to 12pm on Monday, December 13.
