Nominations are now open for the 35th edition of the Victorian WorkSafe Awards.

The awards celebrate and honour workplaces that adopt best practices and cultivate a culture where safety is paramount and encourage others to follow suit.

The awards also recognise the critical work of Victoria’s health and safety representatives (HSRs), which will again be highlighted in the Health and Safety Representative of the Year category.

WorkSafe Chief Executive Joe Calafiore said it was important to celebrate and reward the efforts of business and individuals who are excelling at keeping Victorian workers safe.

“The WorkSafe Awards represent a legacy of commitment to workplace health and safety and I would encourage individuals and businesses large and small to nominate,” he said.

“In our 35th year, we honour those who have gone above and beyond, setting standards and championing a culture of safety that ensures workers return home safely every day.”

A diverse range of employers were recognised last year, with emergency services, local councils and aged care providers amongst the 16 finalists from more than 100 nominations received across the award categories.
