New president for Whittlesea Probus Club

Whittlesea Probus Club has appointed a new president following its annual general meeting on Monday, March 7.

Keith Mason, who led the club during two COVID-interrupted years assumed the position of past presidents and remains on the club’s general committee.

The club’s new president is outgoing vice-president Alessandra Testa, who will hold the position for the next 12 months.

The new vice-president is Keith Miller, an engineer from Upper Plenty.

His wife Rota is also a committee member and the organiser of Probus’ monthly luncheons.

The club includes members from the Whittlesea township, Kinglake and as far away as Epping and South Morang.

The next meeting is on Monday, April 4 when local identity Ivan Peterson will give an account of his time when working in Papua New Guinea. Beyond that the art of physiotherapy, Alpaca farming and the upgrading of Yan Yean Road will be subjects for digestion.
