Mill Park Leisure and Whittlesea Swim Centre will be under new management.
Whittlesea Council has appointed Belgravia Leisure as the new facility manager at both locations after a tender process.
Panel of administrators chair Lydia Wilson said Belgravia Leisure was the industry leader for aquatic and leisure centre management.
“Belgravia Leisure is an experienced operator who manages more than 200 facilities across Australia and New Zealand and has opened eight new and redeveloped centres in Victoria in the past two years,” Ms Wilson said.
“We were attracted to Belgravia’s very strong understanding of customer service and technology, which is important for our facilities, particularly our much-anticipated state-of-the-art Mill Park Leisure facility.
“We have secured a very knowledgeable operator who aligns with our Active Whittlesea objectives while delivering innovative customer-focused innovations to our aquatic and leisure facilities.”
Belgravia Leisure replaces Whittlesea YMCA (WYMCA) which has run both facilities in recent years.
Ms Wilson thanked the WYMCA for the service and commitment the organisation has provided at Mill Park Leisure and Whittlesea Swim Centre.
Mill Park Leisure is in the final stages of its $25 million redevelopment, which is due to be opened in the first quarter of next year.
Whittlesea Swim Centre will open for the new season on November 1.
