New dining hub opens at Westfield Plenty Valley

Crowds flocked to Westfield Plenty Valley on Thursday, eager to get a look at the centre’s new dining and entertainment precinct.

The highly anticipated addition to the Mill Park shopping centre opened at 11am.

The new precinct features more than 15 new dining and entertainment retailers, including The Pancake Parlour, Tunzafun Xtreme, the Sporting Globe and Victoria’s first Italian Street Kitchen.

There is also a new concept YMCA which offers occasional day care, a central lawn and entertainment stage, and outdoor children’s play area.

The precinct also includes a Village Cinemas complex featuring Gold Class, Vpremium, Vmax and Vjunior, which will open in time for Easter.

Centre manager Craig Tapping said the new precinct offered the community a complete dining and lifestyle experience.

“We have created a destination with our community in mind, both young and old, for every occasion,” he said.

The opening celebrations will continue this weekend, with live music on the stage from noon-10pm and free Indian hand art painting at Dosa Hut from 11am-6.30pm.
