New 135-hectare community in Donnybrook

Stage one of a new masterplanned community is launching in Donnybrook on Saturday, June 4.

Located on Donnybrook Road, Heartford Estate by Satterley Property Group will include 19 hectares of open space and housing that’ll become home to more than 6,000 residents.

Satterley’s general manager for Victoria, Jack Hoffmann said that once the estate was complete it would incorporate various community amenities.

“Heartford is a really exciting in part because so much is being built to service the immediate community over the coming years. There’s a planned local town centre in the neighbourhood, as well as a planned primary school and community activity centre very close by,” Mr Hoffmann said.

“There’s also a lot of planned green space within Heartford.”

The estate will include a 2.19 hectare park, with early designs for the outdoor precinct to include a basketball half court, skate space, an in-ground trampoline, fitness stations, table tennis tables and more.

The Precinct Structure Plan includes a proposed 8-hectare sporting reserve incorporating four baseball diamonds, six tennis courts, a shared use pavilion and a playground.

Mr Hoffmann said the community was conveniently positioned, being minutes away from the Hume Freeway and Epping Road.

“Heartford is located on a planned major public transport route along Donnybrook Road which connects to Donnybrook Railway Station. That means V/Line trains to the city are just five minutes away by car,” he said.

“Shopping precincts such as Merrifield City and Craigieburn Central are also convenient, and the stunning Mt Ridley Nature Reserve is about 15 minutes away.”

The lot sizes and housing types will vary to suit all sorts of homebuyers, depending on their lifestyle and preferences.

“It will include townhouses in high-amenity locations for purchasers who want a low-maintenance lifestyle as well as larger lots for upgraders,” he said.
