Nestlé launches competition to celebrate community spirit

Nestlé has launched the Serve Your Community competition that will provide three small businesses or community groups an opportunity to win $10,000 each to invest in a local community initiative.

Local community organisations from Hume and Whittlesea are open to submit their applications for their chance to win.

The competition is open to businesses, clubs or community organisations that have been operating for two or more years and have less than 100 full time employees.

In partnership with Rotary in Australia, the competition welcomes all local community organisations from around the country which are seeking support for a project, initiative or program that will have a positive impact on their community.

Along with the three major prize winners, 10 highly commended entrants will win a minor prize pack, valued at $1,390.

Nestlé professional general manager Kristina Czepl said the company wants to recognise the efforts of community organisations by contributing to local initiatives that will serve and support their community.

“Local businesses have always been a part of the fabric of Aussie communities, often knowing their towns better than anyone else,” she said.

Nestlé’s iconic Campbellfield factory is touted as the ‘home of KitKat’ and has been operating since 1964.

Applications will close on March 24.
