More Craigieburn Road Upgrades

A number of works are being carried out by Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) over the coming months as part of their Craigieburn Road Upgrades.

Craigieburn Road, between Champion Parade and Vantage Boulevard will operate as shuttle flow from 8pm Friday, July 15 to 5am Monday, July 18.

This will be managed using temporary traffic lights which will be operated by traffic controllers. Delays are expected and it is recommended that motorists seek an alternative route.

The left turn slip lane from Craigieburn Road westbound onto Mickleham Road will be closed to heavy vehicles Saturday, July 1 and from Monday, July 4 to Wednesday, July 6 between 9:30am to 3:30pm.

Heavy vehicles should continue west up Craigieburn Road and U-turn at Oaklands Road roundabout.

Light vehicles can continue to turn left at the intersection during this time.

Lanes in both directions will be closed on the Hume Highway between 7am and 5pm until Wednesday, July 27.

Speed reduction and lane closures will occur in the westbound lanes along Craigieburn Road between Hardy Avenue and Benston Street from Monday, July 4 to Monday, July 11.

The pedestrian traffic lights outside Craigieburn Plaza will also be closed from Monday, July 4 to Friday, July 29.

Pedestrians are being advised to use the crossing at Hanson Road or near St Vincent’s Pathology to access nearby public transport options.

There will be no right turn into or out of Champion Parade at Craigieburn Road until 5am Monday, July 18. During this time, you can still turn left in and left out.

Access to Debonair Parade from Craigieburn Road will be closed until 5am Saturday, August 6. Detours will be in place.
