The 525 bus route frequency will be boosted from Sunday, November 28.
The bus route, which runs from Craigieburn Station to Donnybrook Station, will run every 20 minutes during the morning and afternoon peak times under the changes.
This is down from 27 minutes in the morning and 25 minutes in the afternoon.
Outside of peak times and on weekends, buses will run every 40 minutes, down from 60 minutes.
Hume council said it will continue to advocate for an increase in more bus services across the municipality, particularly for growing new suburbs.
