Mitch Tambo to headline city of Whittlesea community festival

Strap yourself in for an unforgettable day of music, culture and family fun as the City of Whittlesea Community Festival returns on Sunday, 16 March.

The free event promises an exciting lineup of performances, interactive activities, and entertainment for all ages.

Headlining this year’s festival is Australian world music sensation Mitch Tambo.

Known for his powerful performances and cultural pride, Tambo has captured the imagination of international audiences.

His high-energy rendition of You’re the voice recently surpassed one million streams and fans can expect an electrifying performance at the festival.

Joining Tambo on stage is Squid Nebula, a soul and funk-infused band led by Noongar musician Bumpy.

The festival will showcase an impressive lineup of local talent, including Benny Greggs the festival’s emcee, Renee Naccari, a Melbourne-based singer, Brent Watkins, a Gunnai Kurnai artist with Noongar Yamati roots and Jag, a creative performer merging music with poetry for a one-of-a-kind show.

Zak Gully will also be performing as a rising indie Folk-pop singer-songwriter and award-nominated rock band Ramona Sky will be bringing the ‘70s vibe with a modern twist.

Beyond the incredible music lineup, the City of Whittlesea Community Festival offers an array of activities, including live cooking show demonstrations with Masterchef winner Emilia Jackson, free theatre shows, and a pet expo to enjoy.
