An 18-year-old Mickleham man has been charged with extortion and blackmail.
Police will allege the man made threats against an 18-year-old victim demanding money, vehicles, and other items.
Police believe the victim was also asked to falsely nominate himself as the driver in an evade in Lalor in early September.
The man faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
