Mernda line commuters are being advised to prepare for delays this morning, with buses replacing trains along part of the line.
Public Transport Victoria has reported equipment faults in Epping and South Morang.
Buses have been organised to replace trains between Mernda and Reservoir stations, PTV said.
It is not known when normal services will resume.
We encourage passengers travelling on this line today to plan ahead, allow extra time for your journey, and consider alternative travel plans, such as altering your departure time, or using a different mode of public transport,” a PTV statement said.
“Continue to check the website for the most up to date information before you travel.
“We sincerely apologise for the disruptions and thank passengers for their patience.”
Replacement buses will stop for Epping passengers at the bus stop outside the train station entrance on Cooper Street; at the bus interchange outside the station off Civic Drive in South Morang; Off Old Plenty Road at Middle Gorge station; at Hawkstowe station on Plenty Road; and off Bridge Inn Road at Mernda station.
