Twenty-one local adult and older adults mental health and wellbeing service are soon set to open across the state.

The first of six facilities will open in Benalla, Brimbank, Frankston, Greater Geelong, Latrobe Valley, and Whittlesea.

The remaining services will be established in areas including Werribee, Truganina Melbourne, Cragieburn, Melton and Sunbury.

Set to open from mid-2023, the centres are expected to provide support services for key areas that will help Victorians receive mental health support when they need it.

“We aren’t wasting a moment getting on and building the mental health system Victorians need and deserve – and one year in, we’ve already made progress on delivering services that will change our state forever,” Werribee MP Tim Pallas said.

“In Werribee, we’re making sure our community can get the care they need, as soon as they need it, close

to home.”

The centres were delivered as part of a mental health and wellbeing services reform following the 2021 Royal Commission.
