The Matildas took to their new Bundoora home on Tuesday morning as they finalise their preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The team will take on France in a ‘send off’ game before embarking on their mission to cup glory against Ireland on July 20.
Arsenal attacker Caitlin Foord said she is looking forward to the journey that is upon her and the team.
“The last few weeks have been tough with training, we’ve put all the hard work in and now it’s going into the exciting part,” she said
Foord said the game leading into the World Cup will establish the foundations for success.
“For our confidence going into the tournament that a good result, a good performance will help us,” she said.
“It’s an important game for us.
“I think if we’re good individually and good as a team there’s no doubt we could beat anyone on any given day.”
