Man charged with murder of Epping woman

A Rockbank man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Epping.

Emergency services were called to reports of a woman found unresponsive at a property on Gottloh Street about 5.50pm on Thursday 9 October.

Police said it appeared the 44-year-old Epping woman had been seriously assaulted.

Paramedics attended however the woman died at the scene.

A 50-year-old Rockbank man was subsequently arrested in Epping on the same night and interviewed by police. He was charged with murder on Friday 10 October.

Police will allege the parties are known to each other.
