Man charged over Thomastown man’s death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a Thomastown man in Reservoir on Monday.

Police said emergency services were called following an alleged altercation at an address on Mahoneys Road about 4.30pm on Monday, December 6.

A 44-year-old Thomastown man was treated by paramedics for lower body injuries but died at the scene, police said.

According to police, a 44-year-old Reservoir man was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment for head injuries.

He was interviewed by police on Tuesday and subsequently charged with one count of murder.

Police said detectives believe both parties are known to each other and are not seeking anyone further in relation to the incident.
