Man charged over alleged Craigieburn shootings

A 25-year-old man has been charged over two alleged firearms incidents in Craigieburn.

Police were called to the Hume Highway following reports a number of shots were fired at a car about 12.5pm on Tuesday, June 9.

A white Holden ute was damaged during the alleged incident, however, police said no one was injured.

Police also believe a number of shots were fired into a residential premise on Malcolm Creek Parade about 12.45pm the same day. No one was injured.

Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives charged with the Craigieburn man with reckless conduct endangering life, prohibited person possessing a firearm and traffic offences.

He will face Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
