Man charged following Craigieburn stabbing

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Craigieburn on Monday 13 October.

Police were called to reports of a brawl between four men outside a shopping centre on Craigieburn Road about 6.40pm, where one man allegedly stabbed two other men with a knife during the altercation.

A 26-year-old and 55-year-old were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 28-year-old Wallan man was arrested at the scene and was charged with intentionally cause injury, common assault, affray, possessing a controlled weapon, assaulting police, discharging a missile and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

The Wallan man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14 October.

A second offender fled prior to police arriving.

The investigation remains ongoing.
