Man charged after stabbing

A 45-year-old has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft and common law assault following the death of a 36-year-old Doreen man.

The man died after he was allegedly stabbed in Thomastown on July 11.

Detectives were called to a Victoria Drive address about 8.40pm after reports a man had been stabbed.

Police arrested the 45-year-old Glenroy man at the scene.

Medical assistance was provided to the victim, however the man died at the scene.

Detectives are eager to speak to anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage.
