A man has been arrested after an alleged attack on two family pets in Mernda this month.
The 29-year-old Mernda man attended a police station on Thursday, February 24 and was subsequently interviewed by police.
He is expected to be charged on summons with criminal damage, aggravated cruelty to animals and weapons offences.
