All Greensborough-bound lanes have been re-opened on the M80 Ring Road near the Sydney Road overpass, following a multi-vehicle collision.
Traffic remains heavily congested from the Calder Freeway, with delays of up to 80 minutes.
Surrounding roads including Mickleham, Broadmeadows, Pascoe Vale and Sydney roads and the Hume Freeway are also busier than usual.
Conditions will continue to be monitored and traffic lights will be adjusted to minimise congestion in the area.
