The M80 Ring Road has been re-opened in both directions near Sydney Road, following a police incident.
There is significant congestion on the M80 and on surrounding roads including the Hume Freeway inbound, Camp Road, Mahoneys Road and Edgars Road, the Department of Transport has warned.
“We ask drivers to allow extra time and to be patient as delays begin to ease,” the department said.
“Our signals team will continue monitoring conditions and will adjust traffic lights as needed to minimise congestion in the area.”
