Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) in Craigieburn is fundraising for a four month old French bulldog puppy named Angel.

Angel, who was born without the proper use of her back legs, was surrendered to SCAR because she couldn’t find a permanent home because of her disability.

The team at SCAR is raising awareness and funds for an MRI to help determine what treatments Angel needs to help her gain more use in her legs.

SCAR was established in 2008 by veterinary nurse Marisa Debattista with the aim of providing a second chance of life to rescue animals.

The centre also offers affordable veterinary care, free pet food, and medical care to the pets of people who may be struggling financially.

The organisation has moved from Campbellfield to a new facility in Craigieburn.

A SCAR spokesperson said Angel would require a lot of medical care before she could find a new forever home.
